BOAT HIRE

Whether you’re a novice boatie or you have your boat licence, Dingo Beach Watersports has something for everyone. From 6hp to 25hp, we have a vessel to suit your requirements.

All hire boats are fully surveyed and equipped with all necessary safety gear. They all take up to 4 passengers, and maps will be supplied to coincide with the area you will be using. They are simple and reliable outboards, so you just get to enjoy your day without any worries.

FISHING

Dingo Beach and surrounds is well known for its fishing with a vast array of different species of fish to be caught. From Reef fish such as Coral Trout and Sweetlip, to your pelagics like Mackerel and Trevally we offer over 20 years of local knowledge to ensure that you have a pleasurable experience. There are numerous locations to fish safely and comfortably, regardless of the prevailing weather conditions.

A full briefing of the local conditions and topography (reef & landfall) will be given prior to departure.

Handlines are available as well as a fishing esky to keep those fish on ice.

ISLAND CAMPING TRANSFERS

The Great Dingo Beach Escape offers Island Camping Transfers to any of the National Park Islands or secluded bays in the Dingo Beach, Hydeaway Bay and Cape Gloucester areas.

GLOUCESTER ISLAND *
Gloucester Island is situated at the top end of the Whitsunday Group. It is also the highest island in this group. There are a number of camping areas to enjoy on this island including Bona Bay, East side Bay and Breakfast Bay. Bona Bay has the most facilities, such as composting toilets, shelter shed and picnic tables. It is necessary to carry your own water to any of the abovementioned camping areas as well as a gas cooker as no fires are allowed in the National Parks.

SADDLEBACK ISLAND *
The campsite on this island sits at the crest of a typical coral beach. A pit toilet is available (BYO toilet seat) and a picnic table and chairs are situated under the shady trees. This site requires the user to bring all necessary equipment for camping. (Water, cooking equipment and accommodation requirements). With a westerly aspect the sunsets are exhilarating.

If island camping is not your thing, then you might want to try JONAH BAY. A secluded sandy beach is awaiting you !

SNORKELLING

As Dingo Beach has Pristine Fringing Reef at its doorstep, snorkelling and diving is made so easy. The ultimate way to experience this magnificent coral is to snorkel from a boat. You will be instructed on how to operate the boat and the best current location to snorkel upon.

This intimate knowledge comes from 20 years experience freediving these magnificent inshore reefs. You will see Turtles, Dolphins, Stingrays and numerous varieties of fishlife. The Great Barrier Reef has:-
1500 species of fish
400 species of Coral
4000 species of molluscs
500 species of seaweed
215 species of birds
6 species of Turtles
It also has some of the worlds largest populations of dugong.

Snorkelling sets are available (Mask, Snorkel and fins) for $30 p.p. per day.

SPEARFISHING

Freediving from one our boats offers the spearfisherman an opportunity to experience some of the best inshore reef locations in Australia.

The close proximity of uninhabited islands with surrounding reef structure allows the diver to access these unpopulated areas, which lend themselves to a diverse range of marine life.

Over 10 kilometres of mainland fringing reef locations are available to pursue the likes of the Painted Crayfish or a tasty Coral Trout.

CANOEING

A two person canoe is available for those who wish to paddle around. Capable of 1adult & 2 kids or 2 Adults this is a fun way to explore Dingo Beach and cruise over the Coral Gardens and sneak up on some of the Bird and Marine life. The canoe is available for hourly or daily hire.

Hourly = $20 per hour
Daily = $60 per Day (Includes all safety equipment)

BUSHWALKING

Numerous tracks around the area are available to walk on, taking you to secluded locations like “Black Boy Lookout” and Jonah Bay.

While walking around the headlands you may even sight Turtles, Dolphins, Mantarays and Whales.

Kangaroos & Wallabies are abundant in the bushland and are regularly sighted.

Over 50 species of Birdlife have been sighted making this unique place an Ornothologists paradise.

OTHER STUFF

A Marine Stinger Free Swimming Enclosure is located adjacent to the Dingo Beach Foreshore.

Free electric BBQ’s are situated on the beachfront for that relaxing day away.

Showers and toilet facilities are available at the beach.

Shady, safe playground facilities right next to the beach.
